BLANCHE has led various engagements, including as financial advisor to the debtor and unsecured creditors’ committee through a dual retention. She specializes in out-of-court and in-court restructurings, financial budgeting and planning, liquidity management and litigation support. She created a financial model encompassing the 39 debtor entities ($2B+ in debt) used by the primary parties-in-interest to arrive at a consensual plan in the TOUSA case as the financial advisor to the debtor, and assisted in negotiating debt reduction, funded by sponsor equity contributions of $1B, in a multinational container terminal case as the financial advisor to the secured lenders.

Blanche is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and the first recipient of the Shining Star Award from the New York Network of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). She is a frequent speaker and has written for the ABI Journal, as well as contributed to the ABI Briefs series of ebooks on Building Blocks: Essential Tools for the Bankruptcy Practitioner, 2nd Edition. In addition, she serves as vice chair of the IWIRC at the Shore Conference and is a director-at-large of the International Board of IWIRC.

Blanche founded an informal women’s networking group in the restructuring industry. The group has since grown to more than 120 women and meets periodically for cocktails to network in a relaxed, no-pressure environment that provides participants with new business, job and mentor/mentee opportunities. She is also a Cycle for Survival team captain, raising in excess of $25,000 over the past three years for cancer research.
