She has extensive experience in bankruptcy cases under chapters 11, 12, 13 and 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. She represents her clients in all aspects of bankruptcy and related litigation, including preferences, fraudulent transfers, dischargeability, and state law-based actions. Although she never took a bankruptcy class in law school, she jumped at the opportunity to join her firm’s Financial Restructuring and Insolvency practice after assisting with various bankruptcy matters during her first year as an associate. She began her insolvency practice in Los Angeles, representing debtors and committees in complex chapter 11 cases in Delaware, California and Nevada. Since relocating to Springfield, she has maintained a national practice, representing clients in myriad bankruptcy proceedings in Missouri, Delaware, Mississippi, Texas, California, Arkansas and Iowa. In addition to complex chapter 11 cases, including Express, Inc. and other recently filed retail cases, she also represents clients in smaller cases, including under subchapter V, around the country.

Camber currently chairs the Missouri State Bar’s Business/Corporate Division, which oversees nine committees, including the Financial Services and Insolvency Law Committee, which she previously co-chaired. She is a member of ABI, IWIRC and the Commercial Receivers Association, and has written insolvency-related articles for both banking and legal publications, including the Missouri Independent Bankers Association’s Show-Me Banker Magazine and Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law series. She is proud to have been part of the deal team awarded the Healthcare/Life Sciences Deal of the Year (Under $100MM) by The M&A Advisor for the team’s work on the § 363 going-concern sale of Allied Healthcare Products, Inc. In 2023, she was chosen to participate in NCBJ’s NextGen Program. In addition, she recently made an appearance on the Missouri Bar’s podcast “Is it Legal to…,” where she discussed bankruptcy basics to make the topic more accessible to nonlawyers.

Camber’s pro bono representations have included a Texas death row inmate in her habeas corpus proceedings, individuals seeking asylum in the U.S. through their application process, an individual in Los Angeles in a successful adverse-possession proceeding, and an individual seeking a restraining order against a domestic abuser. She is an active member of the board of directors for the Lost & Found Grief Center, a local nonprofit that provides grief education and counseling services to Springfield, Missouri and surrounding areas. In addition, she has taken an active role within her firm and externally to promote the advancement of women in the legal profession. She is a member of the planning committee for Spencer Fane LLP’s inaugural EmpowerHER Summit, which focused on the recognition and promotion of women attorneys and their client relationships. She also has mentored college students interested in a career in the law, as well as summer and junior associates at each of the firms where she has worked.
