Heath C. Gray

HEATH is a senior managing director with FTI Consulting, Inc. in New York, where he co-leads the firm’s Telecom, Media & Technology (TMT) Restructuring practice. He specializes in guiding public and private companies through large-scale transformations, chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings and distressed transactions. He frequently serves as a senior advisor or interim executive, helping management teams, boards, lenders and investors navigate periods of disruption, complexity and change. He has extensive experience with complex international restructuring and M&A matters in the media, advertising, technology and telecom sectors.

Heath’s interim leadership roles have included serving as Chief Restructuring Officer and Chief Financial Officer across a range of technology and media businesses, including Adtech, Edtech, e-commerce and health care media. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he worked at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Merrill Lynch. In 2025, his team’s work on the Audacy restructuring was recognized with the Telecommunications Deal of the Year Award by The M&A Advisor and named Pre-Pack Transaction of the Year at the Turnaround Atlas Awards. In 2021, he received an Emerging Leaders Award from The M&A Advisor. At his firm, he received internal recognition for “Going Places” in 2016 and 2017. He is a member of ABI, the Turnaround Management Association and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.

Outside of work, Heath is a member of the Robert S. Brookings Society at the Brookings Institution, engaging with peers on public policy and leadership issues. He previously served on the Associate Board of Golden Apple, a nonprofit advancing educational outcomes in underserved communities and schools. In addition, he actively supports organizations dedicated to wildlife and habitat conservation. A former all-state athlete in football and basketball, he credits competitive sports with instilling the resilience and team mindset that drive his leadership today.
