JACK is a partner in the Financial Services & Restructuring Group at Levenfeld Pearlstein in Chicago. His practice focuses on commercial restructuring, insolvency, bankruptcy and debtor representations in and out of court. He represents debtors, committees and fiduciaries in engagements across the country, including all phases of chapter 11 reorganizations, sales and liquidations. He has worked with clients across a wide array of industries, including health care, senior living and continuing-care retirement communities (CCRCs), consumer goods, dine-cinema operations, IT management consulting, food and beverage, cannabis, hotels and franchises, trucking and retail. He also has experience providing commercial real estate counsel in healthy and distressed situations, advising landlords, tenants and owners in complex restructuring engagements. Prior to joining LP, he was a partner with Sugar Felsenthal Grais & Helsinger LLP.

Jack served as the 2024 president of the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and is an active member of the restructuring bar, holding leadership positions with TMA at the global level. An at-large member of TMA Global’s Chapter Presidents Council, he also is an ABI member and has held leadership positions in its Young & New Members Committee, including as co-chair. He previously served as a member of the Young Professionals Board for Illinois Legal Aid Online (ILAO). In addition, he has been named an Illinois Super Lawyers “Rising Star” annually since 2013, received the Turnaround Management Association Chicago/Midwest Chapter’s Emerging Leader Award in 2018, was named a Leading Lawyers “Emerging Lawyer” from 2017-21 and in 2025, and was ranked in Chambers USA’s “Up and Coming” list in 2025.

Jack regularly speaks and writes on restructuring topics publicly and within his own firm. A prolific writer, he has published numerous articles in such publications as Law360, the LP3 Newsletter, DailyDAC and Bankruptcy Strategist. He also has served as co-executive editor and executive editor of Commercial Bankruptcy Litigation, 2nd Edition. Within his firm, he often mentors junior attorneys and summer associates.
