She frequently speaks on such topics as merchant cash advances, ethics and DEI, subchapter V, executory contracts and bankruptcy case law updates, and she has presented at programs hosted by ABI, IWIRC and state bar associations. She is admitted to practice in Colorado, Oklahoma and Wyoming, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Having spent many of her childhood years in a financially insecure household, Lacey saw her parents balance an extremely tight budget to overcome several particularly difficult periods. That experience instilled in her the importance of hard work and precision, and helped her gain a deep understanding of the real human impact of financial distress. In her community work, she serves as governance co-chair for The Center on Colfax, the largest LGBTQ+ community center in the Rocky Mountain region, where she helps lead board development and event-planning efforts.
