Mark C. Moore
Foley & Lardner LLP, Dallas, TXMARK is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP in Dallas and has more than a decade of experience in bankruptcy law, representing chapter 11 debtors in some of the most intricate and high-stakes cases in the region. He focuses his practice areas on complex chapter 11 debtor cases, appellate, creditor committee representation and litigation in the energy, health care and life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, and he is experienced in complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Foley, he clerked for four years for Hon. Bill Parker in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
Mark is a member of the State Bar of Texas’s Young Lawyer’s Committee, ABI, the Federal Bar Association and the Turnaround Management Association. He also is the founder and managing editor of OurDailyBears.com, which became Oso Media Group in 2024, and the incoming coach of the SMU team at the Duberstein Memorial Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition.
Mark has two children with spinal muscular atrophy, also known as SMA. He and his wife quickly became experts after their children were both diagnosed, and his wife has been a Texas Chapter leader for more than 10 years and been heavily involved in advocacy, regulatory reform and community. After one of their children died from SMA in December 2019, he began to get more involved in advocacy, speaking to Texas legislators in Austin and federal legislators in Washington, D.C., on multiple occasions. In 2022, he joined the Finance and Operations Committee that advises the board of directors; the committee is directly responsible for overseeing the budget and operations of the organization. In April 2024, he was invited to join the board itself. Outside of the office, he enjoys reading about American and European military history, saltwater aquarium-keeping and maintenance, college athletics (particularly Baylor University) and playing the cello.
