Natasha Tsiouris is a partner with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York in its Corporate Department, practicing in its Restructuring Group. She regularly represents creditors, debtors, lenders, hedge funds, banks and other strategic parties in a wide range of corporate restructurings, including in connection with prepackaged and traditional bankruptcies, debtor-in-possession and exit-financing transactions, asset sales and cross-border insolvencies, as well as out-of-court workouts and other risk-management transactions. She also has substantial experience advising on investments in distressed businesses and credit risks involved in cross-border derivatives and other complex financial transactions. Ms. Tsiouris was named an “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer” in 2021 by Turnarounds & Workouts, and she is a2020 honoree of ABI’s “40 Under 40.” She has worked with significant creditor groups in connection with the companies’ out-of-court restructuring and chapter 11 cases, including Fieldwood Energy, FirstEnergySolutions, Mid states Petroleum and Ascent Resources - Marcellus. She has also worked with Volkswagen in the worldwide restructuring of Takata, Citibank as agent in connection with a $725 million debtor-in-possession financing for Avaya Inc. and certain of its affiliates, and Patriot Coal Corp. and its affiliates in connection with their chapter 11 cases, among others. Ms. Tsiouris was previously with Credit Suisse. She received her B.A. in economics cum laude in 2005 from Columbia College and her J.D. from ColumbiaLaw School in 2010, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, articles editor for the Columbia BusinessLaw Review and notes editor for the Columbia Journal of Tax Law.
