<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Amy Denton Mayer, CPA</strong> is a partner with Berger Singerman LLP in its Business Reorganization Team in the Tampa, Fla., office. She has more than two decades of experience representing debtors, creditors, committees, trustees, assignees, purchaser, and other stakeholders in complex bankruptcy cases under chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13, as well as in assignments for the benefit of creditors and out-of-court workouts. She also serves as a subchapter V trustee in the Middle District of Florida and has been appointed in more than 140 cases — more than any other trustee in the country. Ms. Mayer frequently acts as a court-appointed examiner and post-confirmation fiduciary, and regularly appears in contested matters and bankruptcy appeals. Her industry experience spans real estate, health care, construction, hospitality, agriculture and consumer products. Ms. Mayer is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a Senior Fellow of the Trial Law Institute, and a member of the Litigation Counsel of America. She also is a frequent speaker and author on bankruptcy topics, and she is an ABI “40 Under 40” honoree and was named a “Trailblazer” by IWIRC Florida. Ms. Mayer received her J.D. with honors in 2002 from the University of Florida and interned for Hon. Paul M. Glenn and Hon. Michael G. Williamson in the Middle District of Florida.</p>
