Mr. Cameron Fee

Skadden Arps, Wilmington, DE

CAMERON is an associate and focuses his practice on business reorganizations, distressed transactions and commercial litigation arising from distressed situations. He has experience advising companies, creditors, equity-holders, lenders, sponsors, hedge funds and acquirers in all aspects of out-of-court restructurings and corporate reorganizations. He also frequently writes on a variety of restructuring topics, including intercreditor agreements, cramdown interest rates, intellectual property, executory contracts and insider compensation, and has been published in the American Bankruptcy Law Journal and in the Norton Annual Survey of Bankruptcy Law.

Cameron’s love of bankruptcy law has led me to where I am today led him first to West Virginia after law school to begin his bankruptcy clerkship, then to New York City to earn his LL.M., then back to San Francisco, where he was born and raised, yet was ultimately offered in a bankruptcy position in Wilmington, Del. Soon after arriving in Wilmington, he decided to take a pay cut and leave his associate position so he could gain invaluable chapter 11 experience clerking for a Delaware bankruptcy judge.

Cameron is an active member of ABI and the Delaware Bankruptcy Inns of Court. He also recently joined the board of directors of the Delaware Zoological Society, a nonprofit organization that supports the mission of the Brandywine Zoo (Wilmington’s local zoo) and works closely with zoo management. In a professional capacity, he’s involved in various organizations and works on consumer bankruptcy matters at the Legal Services Corporation of Delaware, Inc., a nonprofit law firm that assists low-income families in Delaware. He also routinely attends monthly meetings at his local Bankruptcy Inns of Court and has participated in many group presentations, attended numerous ABI events, and judged the Duberstein Moot Court Competition every year. Within the Corporate Restructuring Group at Skadden, he also mentors junior associates (formally and informally) and presents at the group’s periodic meetings on restructuring developments.
