FERVE has been named a New York Metro Super Lawyers “Rising Star” each year since 2014 and provides bankruptcy petition preparation services to low-income New York residents for Legal Services NYC Bankruptcy Assistance Project. She also participated in the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program during law school. She has been published in Norton’s Annual Survey and recently co-authored an article that was selected for inclusion in Best of ABI 2019: The Year in Business Bankruptcy. She has also served as a coordinating editor for the ABI Journal and an author for ABI’s VOLO circuit court opinion website, has been co-chair of ABI’s Bankruptcy Litigation and Legislation Committees, and recently served as editor for the next edition of ABI’s Bankruptcy Litigation Manual. At the Federal Bar Council (FBC), a bar association for federal practitioners in the Second Circuit, she was chosen from a competitive selection to serve on its Inn of Court, and later was selected to chair its fall retreat. In the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), she participated on its Committee on Women in the Law, which represents women attorneys and women in the law. In her community, she serves on the advisory board of the Inviolate Initiative, which seeks to increase the accessibility of mental health assessments in the immigration cases of survivors of domestic abuse and trafficking.
