Mr. Conor McShane

AlixPartners, LLP, New York, NY

CONOR is a director and has significant experience assisting management teams through financial and operational restructurings, complex M&A processes and due-diligence efforts across numerous industries, including technology, infrastructure, media, oil and gas, real estate and hospitality. He leads teams across all levels of client organizations while navigating critical areas of the restructuring process, including long-term business plan development, near-term cash-flow modeling and liquidity management, lender negotiations and execution of divestiture strategies.

Growing up in Ireland, Conor had initially aspired to be a farmer. Playing rugby from ages 5-24 and living in Haiti working for an NGO focused on improving educational opportunities helped define his career trajectory. Prior to moving to the U.S., he was a workout banker in London, where he managed the bank’s distressed exposure to the U.K. hospitality sector.

Conor developed and launched the “Adopt a School” program across the Digicel Haiti organization for the Digicel Foundation (an education-focused NGO that has constructed over 150 schools in Haiti since 2010). He also assisted Soul of Haiti to provide both humanitarian aid as well as business education to various communities and entrepreneurs in central and southern Haiti. He also helped raise over $10,000 to provide urgent relief aid to communities in southern Haiti in the wake of Hurricane Matthew in 2016. In his community, he volunteers as a grant monitor for Youth INC, where he oversees grant decisions and provides a sounding board for the management team of the grant recipient. He also is a grant monitor for NYC First, which runs immersive, hands-on STEM education and robotics programs that serve 7,000 students annually across New York City.
