Mrs. Cristina Perez Hesano

Perez Law Group, PLLC, Glendale, AZ

CRISTINA is the managing attorney and founding member of Perez Law Group, PLLC and dedicates her practice to bankruptcy, civil litigation and serious personal injury with a focus on brain injury and head trauma. She took over a national firm’s Arizona high-volume book of business when the company went into receivership, and she has obtained several five-, six-, and seven-figure settlements in her personal injury practice. In addition to her practice, she is a member of the Arizona State Bar Trial Section, the Arizona Association for Justice and the Arizona State Bar’s Bankruptcy Section, for which she served as a past chair from 2016-17. She has also served as a court-appointed panel mediator for the Justice Courts of Arizona in Maricopa County and for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona.

Cristina is the proud daughter of a high school dropout and comes from humble beginnings as a first-generation American. Her father was forced into the workforce at the age of 12, and her mother barely graduated high school while caring for her five siblings. Her parents instilled the importance of hard work, dedication and perseverance, even when faced with adversity, as being the fundamental keys to success. She became the first in her family to attend college and obtain her Master’s degree and J.D. Her two younger siblings followed suit and are also attorneys today.

In 2020 and for 2021, Cristina was listed in The Best Lawyers in America for debtor/creditor rights, and she was listed as a Super Lawyers® “Southwest Rising Star” in 2014, 2015 and 2017 for consumer bankruptcy and in 2019 for personal injury. She also was named one of the Top 50 Pro Bono Attorneys in Arizona by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education in 2013. She has assisted and participated in a number of state and national CLE programs and presented at ABI’s Southwest Bankruptcy Conference in 2019. She is active in her state bar and currently serves as its Diversity and Inclusion Chair. In her community, she supports Heart for the City, a faith-based organization that assists high-risk and underprivileged youth through sports, mentoring and career development skills. She also teaches indoor cycling classes and is certified in CPR.
