JEFFREY is a partner at King & Spalding LLP, where his practice focuses on representing banks and other secured lenders in connection with their most complex workouts, restructurings and bankruptcy matters. He also frequently represents corporate debtors in chapter 11 bankruptcy cases throughout the country, as well as buyers and sellers in distressed M&A transactions. His practice spans a wide variety of industries, including restaurant, health care, energy, transportation, manufacturing and aviation. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for Hon. E. Grady Jolly of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Jeffrey was recognized for his work in Bankruptcy and Restructuring by Chambers USA in 2020 and was selected as a “Rising Star” for Financial Restructuring in IFLR 1000’s Financial & Corporate Guide. He is a Fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel and serves on the advisory board for ABI’s Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop. He also is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and frequently speaks and publishes on a variety of restructuring and insolvency issues. In addition, he has served on the board of TMA’s NextGen program in Atlanta, and he is a member of his firm’s hiring committee.

Jeffrey has had leadership roles with respect to various firm client initiatives, including its Unitranche Lending task force. Outside of work, he has served as an advisory board member for the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network and represents a Rwandan asylum-seeker pro bono, and he serves as an elder at the Atlanta Westside Presbyterian Church.
