Warren Ford III

WARREN is a partner and Corporate Maintenance leader at Goosmann Law Firm, where he is a litigation and transactional attorney who represents creditors, banks and business leaders in civil and commercial litigation, out-of-court workouts, and chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings, including adversary proceedings. He also routinely assists clients with complex business transactions and asset acquisitions. He is licensed to practice in Nebraska, Iowa and Colorado and has represented more than 2,000 clients in chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings. His representations include consumers, financially distressed entities, and creditors’ rights work for banks and businesses.

Warren was named on the 2021, 2022 and 2023 The Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” lists for Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law. He also was recently named a 2022 Super Lawyers “Rising Star.” He serves on ABI’s Consumer Bankruptcy and Young & New Members Committees. In addition, he is an Executive Committee member of the Nebraska State Bar Association’s Banking & Bankruptcy Sections, and he is a member of the Young Lawyers Division through the Iowa State Bar Association. He also is a member of the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) and is an active member of NAMWOLF’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Area Committee, through which he helps promote NAMWOLF members who concentrate on both offensive and defensive financial services litigation to major financial services companies. Through his involvement, he helps support minority- and women-owned firms that partner with financial services companies to which they traditionally would not have had access.

Warren’s path to becoming an insolvency lawyer began when he was a child, when he saw his parents often struggle financially. These experiences drove his passion to volunteer with such organizations as Big Brothers, Big Sisters, the Nebraska Volunteer Lawyer Project, Together, Inc. and the Siena Francis House of Omaha, which is Nebraska’s largest provider of services to individuals experiencing homelessness. He also is currently serving as an ambassador to the Omaha Municipal Landbank, where he is advocating for the transformation of distressed properties into community assets, such as low-income housing and community gardens.
