CAITLIN is a partner with Jones Day in Atlanta, where her practice focuses on business restructuring and reorganization. She advises clients in chapter 11 proceedings, including complex bankruptcy litigation and mass tort matters. Her practice has exposed her to a variety of industries, including automotive/transportation, aerospace, mining, manufacturing, retail, media and technology. She currently represents Aldrich Pump LLC and Murray Boiler LLC, affiliates of Trane Technologies plc, in their chapter 11 cases before the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina seeking a permanent, global resolution of legacy asbestos liabilities via a section 524(g) trust. Her prior company representations include Red River Talc LLC and LLT Management LLC (f.k.a. LTL Management LLC) in efforts to achieve a comprehensive resolution of tens of thousands of talc-related claims through a prepackaged chapter 11 plan and the establishment of a multibillion-dollar trust for current and future claimants, GUE Liquidation Companies (f.k.a. FTD Companies) (recognized as “Restructuring Deal of the Year” by The Deal in 2020), General Wireless (d/b/a RadioShack) and Molycorp. In parallel with her bankruptcy practice, she advises clients on a broad range of out-of-court solutions, including out-of-court restructurings and distressed mergers and acquisitions.

Caitlin previously clerked for Hon. Timothy A. Barnes in the Northern District of Illinois. She has been named in The Best Lawyers in America as one of its “Ones to Watch” in both Litigation — Bankruptcy and in Creditor/Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law since 2021, and she was named one of the National LGBT Bar Association’s Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 in 2021. Prior to her legal career, she was a member of the U.S. Women’s National Ice Hockey Team, with whom she won Olympic Silver and Bronze medals, and was a three-time International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Champion. In 2014, she was selected by President Obama to the Presidential Delegation to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. She later was appointed to serve as a member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition from 2014-16.

Caitlin is a member of the USA Hockey board of directors. In addition, she has worked with a nonprofit corporation that provides children from low-income families access to the sport of ice hockey, as well as tutoring, mentorship and scholarship opportunities. In her pro bono work, she has represented asylum-seekers through the application process and removal proceedings. She also serves in various mentorship roles, including with Jones Day’s LGBTQ+ affinity group, new lawyers and summer associates.
