Rachel A. Sternlieb
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, Denver, CORACHEL is a partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s Denver office. She focuses her practice in the areas of bankruptcy and restructuring, as well as complex commercial and business litigation in state and federal courts, and in administrative forums and arbitrations. Her practice includes matters ranging from business and contract disputes, including franchise and distribution litigation, to complex bankruptcy and reorganization matters. She represents businesses of all sizes and individuals, as well as chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees, receivers and creditors in chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases. Before relocating to Denver in 2016, she practiced in New Orleans.
Rachel currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation’s Mountain-Desert Network, and on ABI’s Rocky Mountain Conference Advisory Board. She also co-chairs the Bankruptcy Subsection of the Colorado Bar Association’s Business Law Section. She has been named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in Business Litigation every year since 2021, and she was listed as one of New Orleans City Business’s “Ones to Watch” in 2015. She is admitted to practice in Wyoming, Colorado and Louisiana; before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana, the Districts of Colorado, Wyoming and Utah, and the Eastern District of Michigan; before the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Districts of Colorado and Wyoming; and before the Fifth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals. In addition, she serves on the advisory board of ABI’s Rocky Mountain Bankruptcy Conference and is co-chair of the Colorado Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Subsection.
Rachel is deeply committed to making a positive impact in her community and the profession through philanthropy, community service and mentorship. Outside of the office, she is passionate about community outreach and volunteers with various local nonprofits and animal rescue organizations in the Denver area.
