<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Hon. Luis E. Rivera, II</strong> is a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida in Tampa and Fort Myers, Fla. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he served as deputy chair of GrayRobinson, P.A.’s bankruptcy group and served as the managing shareholder of the firm’s Fort Myers and Naples offices. He also served as a panel trustee in the Middle District of Florida from 2010 to his appointment. Judge Rivera is Board Certified in both Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification. He is an active member of The Florida Bar’s Business Law Section and ABI, and in 2017 he was named to ABI’s inaugural class of “40 Under 40” Emerging Leaders in Insolvency Practice. Judge Rivera received his B.A. in political science <em>magna cum laude</em> from Loyola University New Orleans, where he was an Ignatian Scholar, and his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the <em>Washington and Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice</em>.</p>
