ANDREA is an associate at Spencer Fane LLP, where she represents secured and unsecured creditors and bankruptcy trustees in bankruptcy and nonbankruptcy insolvency proceedings such as receiverships and foreclosure proceedings, out-of-court workouts and restructurings, and other related insolvency matters. She currently serves as co-chair for the Midwestern Bankruptcy Institute, an annual program jointly sponsored by the American Bankruptcy Institute and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She also serves on the board of the Kansas City Bankruptcy Bar Association, having served as its president in 2020. She was able to organize its first-ever webinar to provide educational programming to its members during the pandemic.

Andrea is a member of ABI, the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, the Kansas City Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce. She has authored multiple articles for ABI and other publications, contributed to her firm’s blog, and presented on bankruptcy and insolvency topics. In addition, she serves as the Newsletter Editor for ABI’s Secured Credit Committee.

Andrea uses her Midwestern background to guide her values and motivated work ethic. Growing up on a dairy farm near a small town in South Dakota gave her a framework for hard work and instilled in her the importance of community. Now as a leader in her field and a fierce advocate for her clients, she is proud of the foundation that led her to success in the legal industry.
