Koley Jessen PC, LLO, Omaha, NEBRIAN is a shareholder and the vice chair of the firm’s Litigation Department, where he counsels clients in commercial bankruptcy and high-stakes litigation matters, serves on the Associate and Finance Committees, and leads the bankruptcy practice at the 70-attorney firm. He is the trusted bankruptcy counsel in proceedings throughout the country for multiple publicly traded companies, private-equity firms, and privately held businesses related to all things bankruptcy. He is also a frequent author and lecturer on bankruptcy topics.Previously, Brian clerked for Justice John F. Wright on the Nebraska Supreme Court. While at law school, he served as editor-in-chief of the Creighton Law Review.Brian sits on a number of nonprofit boards and recently was selected to participate in Leadership Omaha, a leadership-development program organized by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. In addition to volunteering as an assistant high school football coach, he serves on the board of a 501(c)(3) counseling center, CityCare Counseling, in Omaha and played a pivotal role in founding the nonprofit. It now has 20 full- and part time counselors and four interns.
