CHAD is a partner in the firm’s Restructuring Practice Group and represents debtors, creditors, equity holders and other stakeholders in all aspects of corporate restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings. His notable clients include Toys “R” Us, American Tire Distributors, Energy Future Holdings, Cobalt Energy, C&J Energy, General Growth Properties, Strategic Hotels & Resorts and United Airlines.
Most recently, Law360 selected Chad as one of five Bankruptcy “Rising Stars for 2018” in its list of top attorneys under 40, he was recognized in the 2017-18 editions of Chambers USA, and he was listed in the 2017 edition of Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer’s “40 Attorneys Under Forty.” In addition, The American Lawyer named him “Dealmaker of the Year - 2016” for his role in the Energy Future Holdings restructuring, and he was named “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer - 2017” by Turnarounds & Workouts.
Chad is a lecturer in the law at the University of Chicago Law School and a contributing author for Collier on Bankruptcy. He also developed his firm’s annual mock board training exercise for junior attorneys, and he serves as a member of its Associate Review Committee.
