JW Infinity Consulting LLC, New York, NY

JOLENE is the firm’s managing director and founder, and has hands-on experience advising investment banks and corporations on complex transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and turnarounds, bankruptcy, forensics and litigation. Adept at a wide array of financial analysis and valuation work, she has worked with trustees and receivers, legal counsel, companies, PE firms and public agencies on bankruptcy, business planning, merger & acquisition, liquidation and out-of-court restructuring matters. Using her mathematics and computer science background, she deploys large-scale data analytics to derive forward-looking business insights based on her professional training in accounting, finance and economics. She has served as consultant to foreign-based creditors, fiduciaries, legal counsel, distressed companies, high-net-worth individuals, and public agencies on restructuring, bankruptcy, litigation, fraud, financing, merger, and buyout matters. She has also performed fraudulent transfer analyses and business valuations on bankruptcy litigation matters. Her case experience has included companies in the banking, e-commerce, health care, insurance, manufacturing, real estate, and retail industries.

Jolene is ethnically Chinese and speaks Malaysian/Indonesian and several Chinese languages. Since she was 12 years old, it was her dream to study in America, but she did not want to burden her family with the hefty cost of an overseas education. Her family cheered her on as she developed a five-year plan to achieve this goal and implemented it. Five years later, armed with two bags of essentials, a one-way plane ticket and $100 in cash, she came to the U.S. on full scholarships for her undergraduate degree and then later for her M.B.A. In 2012, she founded JWI because she saw the need to provide an alternative for smaller, middle-market distressed companies that needed big-firm expertise but could not afford it. Her practice has since expanded internationally while remaining true to its mission to serve the middle market.

Jolene is a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and an advisory board member of ABI’s Mid-Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop. She is also a planning committee member of the annual IWIRC at the Shore Conference, and the treasurer for IWIRC’s Greater Maryland Network. In addition, she is a member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors, INSOL International and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. When she is not working on client matters, she spends her enjoys globetrotting, climbing mountains and practicing ashtanga yoga internationally.
